Mt.Isa

Well its now Thursday and we are still in Mt.Isa, have had to buy a new fridge as the other one doesnt seem to be working. No point getting to the good fishing spots and not be able to freeze all the fish we hope to catch (!). havent done any sightseeing as we have had repairs and running around to do. Cant believe that there isnt a caravan repair place anywhere here even with the amount of tourists and caravans that seem t0 be in the town all the time. There sure is an opening for one here.
We took the boat onto the Moondarra dam early on Tuesday morning, it was glorious sitting in the boat watching the sun come up over the volcanic rock. I caught 2 fish but we threw them back as they were a bit small and we werent sure what they were.
The weather has been hot but its not a humid heat like at home, 36 today. I guess it will get hotter as we go further north.
We are leaving here tomorrow heading for Camooweal, Barkly homestead, Threeways, then will divert down to the Devils Marbles before doubling back to Threeways to meet up with Bob and Kay then off to his fishing spot west of Darwin. We are also hoping to meet up with friends Graham and Judith in Darwin, they have been in Mackay for a while but leave soon to trek west.
Had to get the sewing machine out yesterday and do a few repairs, Bob got me to make a fridge shade to go on the outside of the van to stop the heat getting to the fridge, he has had a bit of trouble with temperature variation. I think the machine will get a little bit of a workout this trip.
The above is a picture of a huge bottle tree that we saw in Augathella, along the way we saw what seemed to kilometres of them. Will tune in again when we hit the road again, seems like ages since we have driven any distance
